ADOPTION PROCESS

Thank you for choosing to adopt!  By doing so, you not only save the pet you adopt, but you also free up space and resources for us to save more pets in need.

Below is our adoption process:

• View our available pets at the link below or visit us at one of our adoption events.

​

• Complete and submit an application.  Allow 3 - 4 days for us to review your application.  Note that submission of an application does not guarantee adoption.

**NOTE** Filling out the application DOES NOT guarantee an adoption.  We thoroughly evaluate all of the animals in our care and try very hard to match the right dog to the right person and situation.  Adoptions are not on a first-come-first-serve basis.  We reserve the right not to adopt.

• If you do not hear from us within 3 - 4 days of receiving your application, it means either:​​

  • The pet was adopted by another applicant.

  • We felt that the situation presented on the application was not the right situation for that particular pet.

​

• If approved, we will coordinate a home check at your convenience.

​

• Upon approval and completion of a home check, we will then arrange for a convenient time for you to pick up your new family member.

​

• On the day of pick up, we require that you complete an adoption contract (which will be provided to you and is not the same as the adoption application) as well as a minimum, tax-deductible, adoption fee.
